A growing research team is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Research Assistant to join a clinical trial that is gearing up for an exciting new phase. This is not a desk-filler position. It is a hands-on, people-facing, documentation-intensive role where your precision and interpersonal skills will directly influence the quality of the science.

Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree in a health-related field or similar.
Valid Good Clinical Practice (GCP) certification and training in the protection of human subjects.
At least two years of prior work experience in research or public health.
Spoken and written fluency in English and IsiZulu or Sesotho.
Strong computer literacy with excellent writing and presentation skills.
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and data capture.
Experience in cancer, sexual and reproductive health, and/or HIV programmes or research.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and stay organised under pressure.

Key Responsibilities
Assist the study coordinator and investigators with planning, set-up, and the day-to-day running of the clinical trial in line with the approved protocol, GCP, and SOPs.
Recruit participants, support screening and enrolment, and maintain retention through follow-up calls and tracing of participants lost to follow-up.
Administer informed consents and ensure all consent documentation is correctly completed and filed.
Coordinate and schedule study visits, liaising with clinic, pharmacy, and laboratory staff to ensure smooth visit delivery.
Maintain accurate, complete, and contemporaneous source documents, case report forms, study logs, participant reimbursement records, and trackers.
Capture study data into the electronic data capture system, resolve data queries, and support quality control of all study records.
Support readiness for monitoring visits, audits, and ethics and regulatory reporting requirements.
Assist investigators in preparing study-related reports, presentations, and educational materials, and share findings with community stakeholders as required.
