Date Created : 6 hours ago
Job Type : Permanent
Salary : Market Related

ENVIRONMENT:

A bold, fun & fast-growing Software Consultancy in Centurion seeks a highly driven Project Delivery Manager with both PM & BA experience who thrives in fast-moving software environments and turns plans into shipped outcomes. You will run Agile delivery on client projects end-to-end: facilitating the team's cadence, keeping scope and priorities honest, and being the person clients and consultants both trust to keep things on track. The successful incumbent must have 4+ years’ experience in Agile software delivery including proven experience as a Scrum Master / Agile Software Development Project Manager, running delivery for Software teams. You will also require Business Analysis experience including requirements elicitation, workshop facilitation, and translating business needs into development-ready specifications and proficiency with tools such as Jira, ClickUp, or Confluence.

DUTIES:

  • Serve as Scrum Master across client software projects: facilitate sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews and retrospectives; protect the team's focus; surface and remove blockers.
  • Own delivery health: track progress against roadmaps, identify and mitigate risks and dependencies early, and keep stakeholders honestly informed.
  • Monitor team effort (time tracked) against project budgets: keep burn visible, flag variances early, and manage delivery so projects stay on track and within margin.
  • Manage scope with confidence: hold the line on agreed scope with clients, negotiate trade-offs transparently, and escalate before problems become surprises.
  • Perform business analysis where projects require it: drive discovery, facilitate workshops, translate business needs into clear, prioritised requirements for Development teams.
  • Hold the team and stakeholders accountable to commitments and deadlines, kindly and firmly.

REQUIREMENTS:

Essential to have -

  • 4+ Years in Agile software delivery.
  • Proven experience as a Scrum Master / Agile Software Development Project Manager, running delivery for Software teams (must have).
  • Business Analysis experience: requirements elicitation, workshop facilitation, and translating business needs into development-ready specifications (must have)
  • Experience working in agile or hybrid delivery environments, using tools such as Jira, ClickUp, or Confluence.

Nice to haves -

  • Relevant qualifications are advantageous but not required, e.g. Scrum/Agile Certification (PSM I/II, CSM, PMI-ACP, SAFe Scrum Master), Business Analysis Certification or Training (IIBA ECBA/CCBA/CBAP or FTI/equivalent BA Diploma), or a relevant Degree/Diploma (Informatics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or similar).
  • Technical Software Development knowledge or hands-on experience (e.g. APIs, architectures), enough to engage credibly with Developers on technical trade-offs (nice to have, not a minimum requirement).

ATTRIBUTES:

  • Confident communicator, able to lead, influence, and respectfully challenge stakeholders including pushing back on scope creep with clients.
  • Highly organised and deadline-driven, with a solution-focused mindset and comfort operating amid ambiguity and shifting priorities.
  • Combines warmth with firmness, holds people accountable without being harsh, and pushes back without being abrasive. This balance is non-negotiable; we won't trade it for experience.
  • Diplomatic and personable: listens well, understands different perspectives, and builds strong relationships with clients and consultants alike.
  • Entrepreneurial: self-driven and proactive, taking ownership without waiting to be told.
  • A pragmatic systems thinker sees the big picture, questions assumptions, and balances competing constraints over idealistic outcomes.
  • Organised and analytical: breaks complex workloads into clear steps, tracks progress reliably, and distils large amounts of information into clear requirements.
