ENVIRONMENT:

Our client is a leading UK-based esports and sim racing company specializing in tailored car setups, professional coaching, and advanced telemetry solutions. Operating within the internet software and services sector, the company leverages a growing, innovative team to deliver high-quality racing tools and resources designed to support drivers of all skill levels.  They are seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer / Team Lead to join their fully remote team and take ownership of two key products. The first is an established desktop application built using WPF, C#, Blazor, Entity Framework Core, and SQLite. The second is a rapidly expanding cloud platform developed with ASP.NET Core, C#, Blazor, and Entity Framework Core, utilizing Microsoft SQL Server and hosted on a cloud-based infrastructure. This role offers the opportunity to lead technical development, drive product innovation, and mentor a growing engineering team while contributing to the continued success of both platforms.

DUTIES:

•       Lead development across the WPF + Blazor desktop application and the cloud platform (ASP.NET Core, Blazor, EF Core, MSSQL).

•       Develop new features, fix bugs, and maintain a clean, high-performance codebase across both products.

•       Mentor and support team members: unblock issues, review code, raise the technical bar, and guide the team on leveraging AI coding tools effectively.

•       Manage ticket intake: triage, prioritise, and assign incoming bugs and feature requests to the team.

•       Communicate directly with customers on ticket status, resolutions, and expectations.

•       Work directly with the CTO on technical direction, goals, and delivery.

•       Implement backend logic and business processes.

•       Design and manage database schemas across SQLite (desktop) and MSSQL (cloud).

•       Write and maintain database migrations.

•       Optimise database queries for performance at scale.

•       Enhance and maintain CI/CD pipelines for both desktop and cloud deployments.

•       Improve performance, reliability, and overall user experience.

•       Contribute across the full technology stack (frontend, backend, database, and infrastructure).

REQUIREMENTS:

•       Senior-level experience as a Full Stack Developer, with prior team lead or mentorship experience.

•       Strong proficiency in C#, ASP.NET Core, Blazor, and Entity Framework Core.

•       Proficiency in AI-assisted coding: Strong experience leveraging advanced AI development tools, specifically Claude Code—to accelerate development cycles, refactor efficiently, and improve codebase quality.

•       Solid experience with both SQLite and Microsoft SQL Server, including schema design, migrations, and query optimisation.

•       Experience building and operating cloud-hosted applications.

•       Proven ability to triage, prioritise, and delegate work across a development team.

•       Strong written and verbal communication skills, including customer-facing communication on issues and resolutions.

•       Experience with CI/CD and performance optimisation.

ATTRIBUTES:

•       Ability to work remotely and manage your own time and the team's workload autonomously.

•       Strong problem-solving skills and attention to code quality.

•       Passion for clean, maintainable, and efficient code.

•       Bonus: Interest or passion for sim racing or motorsport.
