Elimination of waste
- Correct disposal of waste material & scrap in accordance with the defined standards as per SHEMS.
- Make Kaizen activity suggestions to make improvements.
- Better current process.
- Manage and improve 5S in the area of responsibility according to the 5S Audit Sheet.
- Safe handling of material & storage of materials
- Ensure PPE/PPC usage is according to work standards
- Implement SHEMS procedures
- Conduct all work in accordance with Ramsay Engineering procedures
- Dispatching of quality approved products with correct amounts and stock numbers
- Identifying and escalate incorrect transactions immediately.
- Ensure all work performed is according to the quality requirements
- Inventory Management
- Accurate administration & issuing/receiving of all stock items (consumables, raw material & WIP).
- Ensure accurate stock report for all stock items (consumables; raw material & WIP).
- Maximum variances as per defined standards
- Responsible for maintaining stock levels of consumables & raw materials
- Timeous placement of orders to ensure that stock levels of consumables & raw materials are maintained
- Accurate administration and check the dispatching & receiving of rework material.
- Ensure that stock is in the correct locations.
- Ensure that the FIFO (First in First Out) principle applies with stock.
Job Requirements
- Suitably Qualified
- Senior Certificate
- Stores Management Qualification (Advantageous)
- Understanding of production processes
- Knowledge of Syspro (Advantageous)
- Forklift Driving
