Expression of Interest – Mining Professionals (Opportunities in Australia)

This is an Expression of Interest (EOI) for qualified Fitters & Turners / Mechanical Fitters seeking employment-based relocation or skilled migration opportunities to Australia.

We are inviting EOIs from experienced trades professionals for potential future roles across mining, industrial, and manufacturing operations.

This EOI is intended to create a talent pool and does not relate to an immediate vacancy.

The role involves mechanical fitting, servicing, fault finding, and maintenance of plant and machinery, including rotating equipment, pumps, gearboxes, and conveyors.

Positions may be site-based or workshop-based, with a strong focus on safety, reliability, and compliance with Australian standards.

Candidates must hold a recognised trade qualification, relevant experience, and be eligible for TRA skills assessment.

This opportunity is suited to tradespeople seeking long-term employment opportunities across Australia.

Responsibilities:

• Perform mechanical maintenance, servicing, and repair of plant and production equipment.
• Diagnose and rectify mechanical faults across rotating and static equipment.
• Work with gearboxes, pumps, conveyors, bearings, shafts, and other mechanical components.
• Conduct preventative and corrective maintenance to minimise equipment downtime.
• Interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Assist with shutdown maintenance, equipment overhauls, and breakdown response.
• Ensure all work is performed in accordance with safety procedures and permit systems.
• Complete maintenance documentation, job cards, and reports accurately.
• Liaise with supervisors, engineers, and fellow trades to support maintenance execution.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and serviceable condition.

 

Requirements: Qualification and Skill

• Recognized Trade Qualification as a Fitter & Turner or Mechanical Fitter.
• Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in industrial, mining, or manufacturing environments.
• Strong mechanical fault‑finding and maintenance experience.
• Proven ability to work with rotating equipment, gearboxes, pumps, and plant machinery.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical manuals.
• Experience working safely in high‑risk or production environments.
• High attention to safety, quality, and compliance standards.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a multidisciplinary maintenance team.
