Bookkeeper/Accountant Fourways Johannesburg

Our client is looking for a bookkeeper/Accountant for a fixed contract period of 3 months which might be extended or go into a permanent position. You need 5 years plus experience you need to be strong in EXCEL. Financial Accounting abilities is an added bonus.

Salary up to R 35000 (This is a Fixed Term contract – must be able to start immediately)

Min Requirements

• Matric plus relevant qualifications
• 5+ years Bookkeeping/Accounting experience
• Candidates with Financial Accountant experience would therefore be advantageous
• Strong in Accounts Payable and payments
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are essential.
• Experience with Acumatica is advantageous but not essential

Responsibilities

• Bookkeeping duties on an ERP Software system – training to be provided
• Be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records
• Performing reconciliations (cash, credit card, EFT, membership, suppliers, and payment platforms)
• Managing banking and cashbook activities, including month-end processing
• Supporting revenue processes, including reporting, invoicing, and journals
• Handling accounts payable, including payment runs and ageing reviews
• Preparing and capturing invoices
• Investigating and resolving reconciliation queries
• Monitoring unbanked receipts
• Supporting payroll and intercompany accounting
• Maintaining the fixed asset register
• Assisting with reporting and general finance administration
