Maintenance Systems Coordinator (CMMS Data Integrity/Spare Parts Codification/Maintenance Systems Coordination

CA Global Group
Southern Africa
Date Created : 11 hours ago
Job Type : Full-Time
Salary : Market Related

Reference Number: DGS-0004

Job Description:

Responsibilities:

    • Equipment IDs, specifications, PM schedules, and job plans entered for all current fleet and equipment — completed before commissioning commences.
    • Spare parts catalogue built and maintained: parts codified, min/max stock levels set, reorder points established — prioritised for limited cashflow, not best-case scenarios.
    • CMMS data integrity sustained as new equipment is commissioned and commissioning spares are consumed — register updated within 24 hours of change.
    • Procurement coordination with Stores: planned maintenance window parts confirmed as available at least 1 week ahead.
    • Instrument register for Instrumentation Technician maintained and current: loop diagrams, calibration records, instrument index.
    • Data accuracy audit conducted monthly: discrepancies identified, corrected, and reported to Maintenance Engineer.

Requirements: Qualification and Skill

    • Technical administration background with strong data orientation — detail discipline is the defining attribute.
    • Experience with CMMS, ERP, or asset management platform (system-agnostic; able to learn the current system).
    • Spare parts codification or stores/inventory management background is a significant advantage.
    • Able to work methodically through large volumes of equipment data without losing accuracy or momentum.
    • Mining or industrial environment context helpful — not essential; willingness to learn the plant is required.
    • Does not need to be a qualified engineer — systems and data rigor matter more than technical qualifications.
    • Data accuracy is the primary accountability; equipment data must be fully captured in the CMMS before commissioning, and all updates must be completed within 24 hours of any equipment or inventory change.
    • Spare parts codification and reorder points must reflect real cashflow constraints (not theoretical best practice), ensuring the system is practical, fundable, and usable for planning.

Benefits and Contractual information:

    • Reports To: Maintenance Engineer.
    • Work Cycle: Day shift / standard hours.
