My client, a specialist in Hydraulic services and hydraulic hose repairs, is looking for an experienced Hydraulic Technician to join their team in Montage Gardens.
Responsibilities (not limited to)
- Maintenance & Inspection: Performing routine, preventative maintenance on hydraulic systems to avoid failures.
- Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnosing faults and repairing/rebuilding hydraulic components like motors, pumps, and valves.
- Installation & Fabrication: Assembling new hydraulic systems and manufacturing/replacing hoses, seals, and fittings.
- System Testing: Testing hydraulic circuits for pressure, flow, and leaks to ensure optimal performance.
- Documentation: Keeping accurate service records and maintenance logs.
- Collaboration: Working with engineers and technicians to modify or improve equipment.
Knowledge and experience required
- Technical Understanding: Knowledge of fluid mechanics and power systems.
- Mechanical Aptitude: Ability to use tools for repair and fabrication
- Blueprint Reading: Understanding schematics to diagnose and install systems.
- Problem-Solving: Identifying and solving complex, often urgent, system failures.
- At least 2 years experience in a similar position
- Must have own vehicle and drivers license
- Fluent in English and Afrikaans
