- Ensuring the correct stock levels of components always within set parameters.
- Take full responsibility for the continuous Planning, Follow-Up, Expediting and Controlling of Components on order and in transit to the company until receipt in-Plant and assembled into finished products.
- Ensuring the continuous supply of JIT/JIS Components for 2-Shift Production- in the right quantity, and at the right time at the right place without incurring any excess cost.
- Taking full responsibility for expediting and follow-up activities of components.
- Co-ordination of engineering changes for run-out and run-in components.
- Control and minimization of (potential) obsolescence
- Liaison with local and overseas suppliers and service providers
- Experience with Imports and Exports
- Matric/ Grade 12
- A completed Diploma or Degree from a recognized Institution, e.g. University, in Supply Chain Management
- Minimum 3 years Material Planning experience in the Automotive Industry.
- Solid Computer Skills in SAP MM and MS Office.
- Good computer knowledge
- Strong analytical and forward planning skills and Excellent skills in Risk Assessment
- Be able to work well in a time constrained JIS/JIT environment
- Ability to make logic and sound decisions based on facts
