Our client is looking for the expertise of a Project Manager III, who can plan, direct and co-ordinate the activities of enterprise-wide projects to ensure that project goals are accomplished and to develop project plans specifying goals, strategy, staffing, scheduling, identification of risks, contingency plans and allocation of available resources, in line with the business strategy.
Must have a solid track record in the Banking Sector. This role requires a confident, detail-orientated individual with strong leadership and stakeholder management abilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving key projects from initiation through to completion, ensuring alignment with business goals and regulatory standards.
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum 8 years’ experience as a Project Manager
- Proven experience delivering complex projects within the Banking Sector
- SCRUM Certification – Mandatory
- Formal Project Management Certification – PMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent (Mandatory)
- Excellent knowledge of project lifecycle, methodologies and tools
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Based in or willing to travel to Sandton
Key Responsibilities
- End to end project management across the full project life cycle
- Coordinate cross-functional teams and ensure project timelines are met
- Identify project risks, issues and mitigation strategies
- Facilitate daily SCRUM meeting and sprint planning
- Prepare and present project status reports to key stakeholders
- Collaborate with business analysts, developers etc
- Ensure compliance with internal governance and regulatory requirements
Additional Information
- Hourly rate will be negotiated based on experience and qualifications
- This is a contract position with potential for extension based on performance and project needs.
