Our client is seeking a Haas CNC Gantry Router Milling Machine Operator who will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining Haas milling machines to produce precision components according to engineering drawings and specifications, while ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency standards are met.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate Haas CNC milling machines efficiently and safely
• Set up machines, including tooling, fixtures, and workpieces
• Interpret and work from technical drawings, blueprints, and job cards
• Load and adjust CNC programs as required
• Monitor machining operations to ensure accuracy and quality
• Conduct First Article inspections to ensure all parts are as per drawing requirements.
• Measure and inspect finished components using measuring tools (verniers, micrometers, gauges, etc.)
• Perform basic machine maintenance and housekeeping
• Identify and report machine faults, defects, or deviations
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Adherent to company quality standards, health, and safety regulations
• Meet production targets and deadlines

Maintenance & Safety

• Perform routine machine checks, cleaning, and minor maintenance.
• Identify and report mechanical issues or wear-and-tear on equipment.
• Adhere strictly to safety protocols, including PPE use, lockout/tagout procedures, and safe material handling.

 Process Improvement & Collaboration

• Collaborate with maintenance teams, supervisors, and quality inspectors.
• Suggest improvements to enhance productivity, reduce waste, or optimize workflows.

 Required Skills & Competencies

• Fanuc-style and HAAS G-code programming experience
• Strong technical and mechanical aptitude
• Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Time management and reliability
• Good communication skills
• Quality-focused mindset

Experience & Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (technical/vocational training an advantage).
• 1–3 years of experience operating Haas Milling Machine experience (preferred).
• Familiarity with Health & Safety regulations in manufacturing.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and move materials (typically up to 25–30 kg depending on site requirements).
• Good hand‑eye coordination and manual dexterity.
• Comfortable working in environments with heat, noise, or moving machinery.

 Work Environment

• Exposure to industrial manufacturing conditions (noise, heat, machinery).

Salary: Market related hourly rate

Location: Germiston

Start Date: Immediate

Working Hours: (Dayshift) 07:00- 16:00 Monday to Thursday 07:00- 13:00 Friday
