DRIVER / INTERNAL SALES ASSISTANT

Crown Staffing Services is assisting a well-established Queensburgh-based client in the appointment of a suitably experienced Driver / Internal Sales Assistant.

This is a dual-function role suited to a reliable and customer-focused individual who is able to combine efficient delivery operations with professional internal sales and customer service support within a manufacturing / product-based environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the daily delivery of timber / wood manufactured products to customers across the greater Durban and KZN region, while also supporting the business internally through counter sales, walk-in customer assistance, telephonic enquiries, and product-related sales support.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct daily deliveries of timber / wood manufactured products to clients within the greater Durban and KZN region.
• Ensure deliveries are completed safely, accurately, and timeously.
• Assist with walk-in customer sales at the factory / office.
• Handle telephonic enquiries and sales-related queries in a professional manner.
• Provide clients with accurate information regarding product specifications, applications and suitability
• Support internal sales functions and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Assist with general customer service and operational support as required.

Minimum Requirements

• Valid unendorsed ( clear ) CODE 08 Driver’s licence.
• Proven RECENT driving experience in a delivery driving role ( Minimum 5 years exp).
• Good working knowledge of Durban and surrounding KZN routes.
• Physically fit & strong.
• Previous experience in internal sales, counter sales, or customer-facing sales support.
• Experience dealing confidently with walk-in customers and telephonic sales enquiries.
• Ability to understand, interpret ,SPEAK & communicate product specifications and customer requirements.
• Strong telephonic communication and interpersonal skills.
• Professional, reliable, and well-presented.
• Experience within the timber / wood / building materials sector will be highly advantageous.

Working Hours

• Monday to Friday: 07h30 – 16h30
• Saturday: 07h30 – 12h30

Remuneration

• Market-related salary, dependent on experience and suitability for the role.
