A growing and operationally focused business in the energy and infrastructure space is looking for a hands-on Financial Manager to join their team on a 3-month contract. This is an opportunity to make an immediate impact, strengthen controls, and support leadership with clear, data-driven financial insight.

 

What this role is about:

You’ll take full responsibility for the finance function — from strategic planning and reporting to procurement oversight, BOQ accuracy, and cash flow management. This is a visible, high-impact role suited to someone confident, detail-driven, and comfortable operating across finance and operations.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and KPI reporting
• Oversee month-end and year-end processes, financial statements, and tax compliance
• Manage procurement, vendor negotiations, and inventory/stores controls
• Ensure accuracy and cost alignment within the BOQ process
• Drive cash flow management, working capital optimisation, and treasury oversight
• Strengthen internal controls, compliance, and risk management processes
• Lead and performance-manage the finance team to achieve KPI targets

What we’re looking for:

• Qualified finance professional (CA(SA), SAIPA, or CIMA)
• Strong experience in financial reporting, controls, and operational finance
• Exposure to procurement, contracts, or project-based environments
• Solid understanding of BOQ, costing, and supplier management
• Proven leadership ability and strong stakeholder engagement skills
• Hands-on, solutions-driven, and immediately available (or available on short notice)
