Our client is seeking a CNC Press Brake operator who would be responsible for setting up and operating the CNC press brake machinery to bend, form and fabricate sheet metal components according to engineering drawings and production requirements. This role requires precision, adherence to safety standards, and efficiency in meeting production targets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and set up CNC press brake machines for production
• Select and install appropriate tooling, dies and
• Program machine controls to achieve required dimensions and tolerance
• Operate press brake to bend sheet metal into specified
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints and job
• Inspect finished parts using measuring tools (Calipers, gauges, micrometers)
• Perform routine machine maintenance and report mechanical issues
• Adhere to company health and safety rules and MEIBC regulations
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Work closely with supervisors, production planners, and quality
• Record production data, downtime and completed

Requirements

• Education – Grade 10
• Minimum 2-3 years’ experience operating CNC press brake machines. Familiarity with Amanda, Bystronic or similar press brake systems preferred. Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings Proficiency in CNC programming and machine controls Attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Good communication and teamwork

Salary: Market related

Location: Cape Town

Start Date: Immediate

Working Hours: (Dayshift) 07:00- 16:00 Monday- Thursday, 07:00- 13:00 Friday
