Storeman

We are currently seeking a reliable and hands-on Storeman / Stores Assistant to join a well-established manufacturing business based in Lansdowne, Cape Town.

This role is ideal for someone with strong computer skills, experience handling tools and consumables, and a solid understanding of stock control within a manufacturing or workshop environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Receiving, issuing, and controlling tools, spares, and consumables

• Maintaining accurate stock records and inventories

• Ensuring effective stock control and minimum/maximum stock levels

• General housekeeping and organisation of the stores area

• Assisting with stock counts and inventory checks

• Supporting workshop and operational staff when required

• Basic administration and capturing of stock data on computer systems

• Adhering to safety and company procedures at all times

Minimum Requirements

• Previous experience in a stores / storeman role within a manufacturing or industrial environment

• Good computer literacy (stock systems, Excel, basic admin)

• Practical knowledge of tools, spares, and consumables

• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills

• Ability to work independently and take initiative

• Valid driver’s licence (advantageous, but not essential)

• Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious
