Financial Accountant Stellenbosch 

Our client a Global SaaS Technology client in Stellenbosch Cape Winelands Cape Town is looking for a financial accountant with 4 years post professional accounting qualification. CA(SA) will be very beneficial but not a must. You will be responsible for overseeing the financial records of the company, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local regulations and standards. This role involves preparing financial statements, managing tax compliance, and supporting the financial planning and analysis processes. This is a Hybrid position

Responsibilities

• Financial Reporting – Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial results to management and stakeholders.
• General Ledger Management – Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner.
• Budgeting and Forecasting – Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
• Monitor actual performance against budget and report variances.
• Tax Compliance – Ensure compliance with South African tax laws and regulations.
• Prepare and submit VAT, PAYE, and other statutory returns.
• Audit and Internal Controls – Assist and Coordinate with external auditors during audits.
• Cash Flow Management:
• Financial Analysis – Conduct financial analysis to support business decision-making.
• Provide insights and recommendations to improve financial performance.

Min Requirements and Qualification

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional accounting qualification
• Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in a financial accounting role.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and South African tax regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting software (like SAGE) and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
