Job Description
Are you ready to take ownership of risk in a fast-paced, client-centric financial environment? This is your opportunity to play a key role in shaping and strengthening risk culture within a leading wealth team.
Who we are:
We’re a forward-thinking financial services group known for empowering advisors and delivering impactful wealth solutions. Here, risk isn’t just a compliance checkbox—it’s integral to how we build sustainable growth.
What the role is about:
You’ll oversee and drive the risk function across distribution wealth, ensuring operational incidents are handled with precision, while evolving risk analysis, dashboards, and frameworks that support better decisions and stronger compliance.
What you’ll be doing:
- Lead risk analysis across operational and financial areas, identifying trends and red flags
 - Compile and deliver actionable risk reports to senior stakeholders
 - Oversee incident documentation and response processes
 - Enhance internal risk dashboards and reporting tools
 - Promote a risk-aware culture through process improvement and engagement
 - Track tolerance levels, escalating risks and recommending mitigation plans
 - Supervise direct reports, fostering growth and accountability

What we’re looking for:
- 4+ years’ experience in risk, investment, IT systems, or securities within financial services
 - Postgraduate qualification in accounting, actuarial science, data/statistics, or engineering
 - Strong analytical thinking, with a proactive, detail-driven mindset
 - Excellent written and verbal communication skills
 - Programming skills and regulatory knowledge (e.g., FAIS) a plus
 - Designations like CFP, CFA, or risk certifications are advantageous

What’s in it for you:
- Be part of a respected brand with growth-focused leadership
 - Work in a dynamic environment where risk is integral, not isolated
 - Hybrid potential with a Tygervalley office base
 - Opportunity to lead, innovate, and shape the risk function
