Our client is offering an exciting opportunity for a Trainee Accountant (SAIPA/CIMA/SAIT/SAIBA Articles), who is eager to complete their professional training and gain hands-on experience in a dynamic, supportive environment. This role is based in Port Elizabeth for a duration of 2–3 years contract.

🔹 Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Bookkeeping
  • Process transactions and maintain accurate accounting records.
  • Prepare monthly management accounts and reconciliations.
Financial Statements
  • Assist in compiling Annual Financial Statements in compliance with relevant accounting standards.
Taxation
  • Prepare tax calculations (Income Tax, Provisional Tax, VAT201, EMP201).
  • Support group tax planning and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
Ad Hoc Services
  • Participate in risk assessments, valuations, and client advisory assignments.
Professional Development
  • Complete tasks required to meet professional training competencies.
  • Maintain training logs and documentation in line with professional body standards.
Other Duties
  • Perform additional related tasks as required by the firm.

🔹 Minimum Requirements

  • Completed or in-progress BCom Accounting (or equivalent qualification).
  • Registration or eligibility to register with SAIPA, CIMA, SAIT, or SAIBA.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in MS Office and accounting software.
