New role is available for an Export Analyst for our client in the Automotive Industry, based in Kariega Eastern Cape.

The Export Planning Analyst is responsible for managing all export requests, including the planning, booking, and execution of transport across air, sea, and road modes.

This involves coordinating schedules, securing transport capacity, and ensuring that all export documentation is accurate and compliant.

By managing these processes efficiently, the analyst ensures the timely delivery of vehicles to international markets, thereby supporting production continuity and maintaining customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, book, and execute transport across all modes (air, sea, and road) to ensure on-time delivery and prevent production disruptions.
  • Liaise with government agencies, service providers, and port authorities to meet export schedules and compliance requirements.
  • Ensure all export documentation complies with free trade agreements and destination-specific legislation.
  • Coordinate vehicle movements in line with vessel schedules and port stack plans to optimize space utilization and minimize congestion.
  • Review and approve customs, freight, and transport invoices according to agreed rate structures.
  • Maintain master data and ensure accurate system updates for all shipping information.
  • Compile and submit damage reports, managing claims with service providers and insurance agents.
  • Monitor export data, analyze trends, and provide insights to management to drive continuous improvement.
  • Track performance against KPIs and proactively address deviations to maintain service quality.
  • Update destination schedules and secure volume capacity with the Group Konzernlogistik GmbH & Co and shipping lines.

Qualification Requirements

  • National Diploma or Degree in Commerce, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management

Experience

  • Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or supply chain operations

Essential Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of freight forwarding and multimodal transport logistics
  • Proficient understanding of Incoterms and international trade compliance
  • Excellent negotiation, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Financial accuracy in invoice verification and foreign currency calculations
  • Strong analytical thinking and proactive decision-making skills
  • Competence in reporting and stakeholder engagement
