Job Description

Looking to take full ownership of a finance function that impacts every corner of the business? This is your chance to step into a Financial Manager role that blends technical depth, strategic influence, and team leadership, all within a close-knit, fast-paced environment.

What this role is all about:
You’ll lead a team of four, report directly to EXCO, and manage the full finance function, from day-to-day control through to high-level planning and compliance. You’ll be the key finance partner across the business, guiding strategy while maintaining a rock-solid financial foundation.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling aligned to company strategy
  • Oversee the preparation of financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with IFRS / IFRS for SMEs
  • Monitor and manage cash flow, working capital, and liquidity to support operational and strategic needs
  • Analyse cost structures and drive cost efficiency without compromising performance or quality
  • Maintain and enforce documented financial policies across procurement, revenue recognition, credit control, fixed assets, reconciliations, and delegations of authority
  • Ensure full compliance with tax and regulatory requirements (VAT, EMP, CIT), and manage audits from end to end
  • Support business decisions through detailed financial analysis, feasibility studies, and risk assessment
  • Lead, develop, and support your finance team, setting clear goals, improving processes, and fostering a collaborative environment
  • Drive improvements in systems and automation across platforms like Xero, SimplePay, and DEXT
  • Engage with key external stakeholders including auditors, banks, and regulators

What we’re looking for:

  • BCom or BCom (Hons) with completed articles (CA(SA), SAIPA, CIMA or equivalent)
  • 5–8 years’ post-articles experience with a proven track record in team leadership
  • Strong technical expertise in financial reporting, AFS ownership, audits, and tax
  • Experience in working capital delivery, cash management, and risk mitigation
  • Proficiency in Xero, SimplePay, and DEXT (or similar accounting systems)
  • A hands-on, proactive leader who thrives in dynamic environments and owns outcomes

What’s in it for you:

  • Work directly with EXCO and influence top-level strategy
  • Join a high-trust, high-impact finance function that values autonomy and clarity
  • Hybrid structure
  • Opportunity to shape systems and processes for long-term scalability
