Procurement Officer Paarl Cape Winelands
Our Engineering client in Paarl Cape WInelands is looking for an experience Procurement Officer with 7 years’ experience coming from a manufacturing engineering technical back round.
Salary Negotiable
Qualifications & Experience:
Relevant tertiary qualification in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
Minimum of 7 years’ experience in a Procurement Officer/Buyer role within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of procurement processes, supplier management, and contract negotiation.
Proficiency in SAGE (or similar ERP systems).
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Duties & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
Source, negotiate, and procure materials, components, and services for the manufacturing
Manage supplier relationships and evaluate supplier performance.
Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and relevant legislation.
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with production planning to meet manufacturing requirements.
Prepare and process purchase orders, contracts, and related documentation.
Resolve supplier issues and discrepancies in deliveries, invoices, or quality.
Maintain accurate records of procurement activities using the SAGE system.
Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
