Our client a global brand is looking for a communication specialist with 5-7 years’ experience in brand management, communication and strategy. You will be responsible for developing and implementing effective communication strategies that to enhance brand image, engage stakeholders, and promote products/services.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.

5 – 7 years of experience in communication, public relations, or a related role.

Proven ability to create engaging content for diverse audiences across various platforms.

Experience in media relations and a strong understanding of the South African media landscape.

Proficiency in social media management tools and analytics.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute communication strategies that align with the company’s goals and enhance brand visibility.

Content Creation, create compelling content for various channels, including press releases, newsletters, social media, blogs, and internal communications.

Media Relations, build and maintain relationships with media representatives, journalists, and influencers to promote positive coverage of the company.

Assist in developing crisis communication plans and manage communication during challenging situations to protect the company’s reputation.

Oversee the company’s social media presence, creating engaging content and monitoring interactions to foster community engagement.

Plan and coordinate communication for company events, including press conferences, product launches, and community outreach initiatives.

Conduct research to understand audience needs and preferences, adapting communication strategies accordingly.

Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of communication efforts, using analytics to inform future strategies and improve engagement.
