Finance Manager

Job Description

Opportunity for a Finance Manager to manage a team responsible for the day to day financial activities of the business and provide advice and recommendations to management for future financial plans. Hands on and involved FM with a great team and culture.

What you will be doing: 

• Oversee finance department operations, set goals, and design frameworks to achieve these goals 
• Maintain and improve internal systems to ensure compliance with relevant legislation
• Prepare annual financial statements, management accounts, payroll, VAT, and tax submissions
• Provide financial reports and recommendations to management
• Conduct cost-reduction reviews and evaluate opportunities
• Assist in preparing budgets and forecasts 
• Ensure compliance with SARS requirements: Income Tax, Provisional Tax, VAT, PAYE, UIF, and Dividend Tax
• Lead daily and weekly meetings with the Accounts Team and report directly to Director
• Liaise across departments on company plans and financial strategies

What we are looking for: 

• Degree or CA(SA)
• At least 5 years’ experience in Finance or Accounting within the travel / tourism industry or similar 
• Proficient in Pastel, advanced Excel, Word, and SAGE Payroll and File Director
• Strong knowledge of the German market and culture (German-speaking an advantage)
• Proven leadership, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills
• Able to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and adapt to extended hours when needed
