Play a key role in keeping the numbers sharp and the business moving forward. My client is looking for a Senior Accountant who thrives on clarity, consistency, and building financial confidence across a fast-growing group.

What the role is about:

You’ll own monthly accounting cycles end-to-end, safeguard compliance in South Africa and Namibia, and turn data into decision-ready reporting. Your work will keep leadership informed, teams aligned, and auditors impressed.

 

What you’ll be doing:

• Run monthly payroll and ensure statutory accuracy
• Process supplier payments; maintain debtors/creditors and bank reconciliations
• Reconcile GL and intercompany loan accounts; maintain asset register
• Prepare monthly management reports, cash-flow forecasts, and annual financial statements
• File all regulatory returns; manage SARS matters; ensure compliance with SA/Namibian standards and legislation
• Strengthen internal controls and handle ad-hoc finance queries

What we’re looking for:

• BComm Accounting (required); Honours advantageous
• 5+ years’ accounting experience covering the above responsibilities
• Strong VAT/tax knowledge; up-to-date with accounting/auditing standards
• Proficiency in Xero; SimplePay exposure a plus; Advanced Excel a must
• Meticulous, organised, and comfortable managing deadlines in a dynamic environment
• Clear communicator and collaborative team player with sound judgement and discretion
• Resilient and perseverant, with the strength of character and staying power to thrive in a challenging entrepreneurial environment
