My client, an Accounting and Auditing firm in the Southern Suburbs, know for their high level of professionalism and client service excellence, is looking to employ a Financial Statement Compiler to join them.

What you will be doing: 

• Compile annual financial statements in line with IFRS and IFRS for SMEs
• Ensure compliance with relevant Companies Act disclosure requirements
• Prepare working paper files supporting financial statement disclosures
• Liaise with audit teams on adjustments and presentation
• Apply correct accounting treatment to complex transactions (leases, financial instruments, fair value adjustments)
• Stay up to date with changes in accounting standards and frameworks
• Work with clients to gather information and resolve queries
• Meet deadlines while maintaining high-quality outputs

What we are looking for: 

• BCom Accounting degree or equivalent
• Completed SAICA articles advantageous
• 2–3 years’ experience compiling financial statements
• Proficiency in CaseWare Working Papers essential
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, IFRS for SMEs, and Companies Act disclosure requirements
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong communication and organisational skills
