Our accounting firm client in Cape Town is looking for an Accountant with 6 YEARS PLUS years experience from an Accounting firm prospective. Its fully remote, you can be based anywhere in Cape Town. You MUST be based in Cape Town as visiting clients from time to time is might be requested. 

 

Salary R 520 000 plus bonus depends on experience, qualification

 

Min Requirements

Matric plus financial Accounting Qualification like degree

Solid Experience as an Accountant / Senior Accountant from an Accounting Firm prospective…

Must come from an Accounting firm as you will be working on a set of clients financials

Must be able to work remotely on your own with little supervision and perform

 

Responsibilities

Area Full responsibility in respect of all aspects of clients allocated to person including the following:

Accurate processing of Pastel income statement and balance sheet items

Monthly journals and reconciliations of all general ledgers

Maintain fixed asset registers

Reconciliation of customer and supplier ledgers

VAT Reconciliations

Salary processing checking, journals and SARS reconciliations

Preparation of Financial Statements

Income tax calculations, form completions and submission of returns (individuals, companies and trusts)

General assistance to Manager as required

Supervising of junior accountants

Professional communication with colleagues and clients

CIPC related work
