Accountant/Senior Accountant Remote Cape Town

Our accounting firm client in the Bellville/ Durbanville is looking for an Accountant/Senior Accountant with 8 years plus experience from an Accounting firm prospective. Its fully remote, you can be based anywhere in Cape Town. Completed SAIPA Articles program an added bonus but not a must

Salary R 520 000 – R 600 000 depends on experience, qualification and membership_

Min Requirements

Matric plus financial Accounting Qualification like degree

Solid Experience as an Accountant / Senior Accountant from an Accounting Firm prospective

Must come from an Accounting firm as you will be working on a set of clients financials

Must be able to work remotely on your own with little supervision and perform

Advantage but not a must Is completion of SAIPA/SAICA

 

Responsibilities

Area Full responsibility in respect of all aspects of clients allocated to person including the following:

Accurate processing of Pastel income statement and balance sheet items

Monthly journals and reconciliations of all general ledgers

Maintain fixed asset registers

Reconciliation of customer and supplier ledgers

VAT Reconciliations

Salary processing checking, journals and SARS reconciliations

Preparation of Financial Statements on Draftworks

Income tax calculations, form completions and submission of returns (individuals, companies and trusts)

General assistance to Manager as required

Supervising of junior accountants

Professional communication with colleagues and clients

CIPC related work
