About the opportunity
As Finance & Operations Manager, you’ll report directly to the CEO and play a pivotal role in managing the full financial function, ensuring compliance and governance, and leading key departments including HR. You’ll bring structure, insight, and leadership to a complex but rewarding environment — where your work truly makes a difference.
What you’ll be responsible for
- Leading strategic financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
- Overseeing payroll, compliance, statutory reporting, and audit processes.
- Supporting the CEO and Board with financial insights and best practices.
- Managing and optimising operations, ensuring profitability and efficiency.
- Developing and leading high-performing teams across Finance, HR, and Retail.
- Maintaining strong financial controls and reporting through systems like Pastel and VIP.
What’s in it for you
- Market-related remuneration with a contributory pension (incl. life, disability, and funeral cover).
- Generous leave benefits and study leave beyond industry norms.
- Preferred working hours: 08h00–16h00, Monday to Friday.
- Access to a holistic Employee Wellness Programme.
- A meaningful role where your expertise supports compassionate community impact.
What we’re looking for
- Postgraduate qualification in Finance with 6–10 years’ experience in a similar leadership role.
- Strong financial management and governance experience, ideally in an NPO environment.
- Retail operations exposure would be a bonus.
- Proficiency in MS Office, Pastel, and VIP Payroll; MS Project knowledge is a plus.
- Proven team leadership with strong interpersonal and decision-making skills.
- Valid driver’s licence and fluency in at least two official languages (advantageous).
