Job Description

A leading professional services firm is seeking a skilled and client-focused Manager – Private Clients to oversee a diverse portfolio of private and family wealth structures. This role is ideal for a qualified professional who thrives on relationship management, strategic thinking, and delivering high-impact accounting and tax solutions.

Role overview:
The successful candidate will act as the primary relationship manager for a portfolio of individuals, trusts, and corporate entities. They will lead client engagements, oversee financial reviews, and coordinate tax compliance — all while mentoring a capable internal team.

 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing a portfolio of private clients as the main point of contact
  • Leading and reviewing accounting and tax engagements
  • Presenting financial statements and insights to clients
  • Overseeing tax compliance across various entity types
  • Coordinating with internal departments to deliver integrated client service
  • Liaising with SARS and supporting the implementation of tax structures
  • Onboarding new clients and managing ongoing relationships

Candidate requirements:

  • BCompt / BAcc Honours with PA(SA) or AGA(SA) designation
  • 3–5 years’ post-articles experience in a similar environment
  • In-depth knowledge of tax legislation, trust structures, and accounting frameworks (including IFRS for SMEs)
  • Proficiency in Caseware, GreatSoft, and Xero
  • Strong client relationship skills and an ability to thrive under pressure
  • Excellent organisational and communication abilities
