This will be a contract of +/- 3 years.
This will be achieved through active participation in Pre-Series Builds and the implementation of robust processes to ensure that vehicles consistently meet the Group's (KONZERN) quality standards and customer expectations throughout the product lifecycle.
Period : 3 Years contract
Key Responsibilities
- Provide support to relevant departments during Pre-Series Build phases.
- Assist the Launch Team by ensuring functionality of production facilities and achieving critical dimensional milestones (e.g., Meisterbock acceptance, surface quality improvements, and corrosion milestone compliance).
- Support Production and Quality teams in meeting series quality targets, including:
- Dimensional accuracy
- Functional and stability assessments
- Body-in-white (BIW) audits
- Final vehicle audit
- DRR (Design Release Reviews)
- Flow-out validation
- Conduct fitment trials, detect problems early, and drive root cause analysis and resolution.
- Collaborate with the Process Engineer and CFT (Cross-Functional Team) leader to design and implement new or modified facilities and gauges to enhance build quality.
- Prepare and deliver written and visual reports on corrective actions during management reviews.
- Manage problem sheets by raising, tracking, and closing issues in a timely manner.
- Ensure assembly stability and coordinate resolution of non-conformities with Parts, Facilities, and Process teams.
Qualifications Required
- National N Diploma or National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
Experience Required
- Minimum 3 years’ technical experience in the automotive industry with a strong understanding of the vehicle production process.
- Qualified Toolmaker (Tool-, Jig- and Die-maker) with 3–5 years of experience in Jigs and Fixtures,
OR
3–5 years of experience in measuring Jigs and Fixtures.
Essential Skills & Competencies
- Strong ability to interpret and work with technical and fixture drawings.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills with an innovative mindset.
- Competent in creating and presenting detailed technical reports for multiple stakeholders, including senior management.
- Strong communication skills—verbal, written, and in presentations—across all organizational levels.
- Flexibility to work overtime, shifts, and be on call/standby at short notice.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint).
Added Advantages
- Additional qualifications in Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience with CATIA, CAD, and Hyper KVS.
- Prior experience in a Body Shop environment or with vehicle dimensional control.
