Organizational Development (OD) Specialist Parow

 

Our client is looking for an OD Specialist with 3-5 years experience. The Organizational Development (OD) Specialist is responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating initiatives that enhance organizational effectiveness, employee engagement, and leadership capability within the engineering environment. This role partners with leaders and teams to drive change, improve processes, and foster a high-performance culture aligned with the company’s strategic objectives.

 

Salary: Market related CTC (depends on experience and qualifications)

 

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Human Resources, or a related field.

Postgraduate qualification (Honours or Master’s) in Organizational Development, Psychology, or HR is advantageous.

Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in organizational development, change management, or a related HR role, preferably within an engineering or technical environment.

Proven experience designing and implementing OD programs and interventions.

Experience facilitating workshops and group sessions for technical professionals is highly desirable.

Proficiency in MS Office Suite and HRIS/LMS platforms.

High level of emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills.

Knowledge of engineering industry dynamics and technical workforce challenges is an advantage.

Membership with professional bodies (e.g., SABPP, SIOPSA, or similar) is beneficial.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Assess organizational needs through data analysis, surveys, interviews, and focus groups.

Design and deliver OD interventions, including change management, team development, talent management, and leadership development programs.

Facilitate workshops, training sessions, and team-building activities for technical and non-technical staff.

Support succession planning, performance management, and competency development initiatives.

Collaborate with HR and department leaders to align OD strategies with business goals.

Develop and implement strategies to improve employee engagement, retention, and workplace culture.

Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of OD programs, making recommendations for continuous improvement.

Provide coaching and guidance to managers and teams on change management and organizational effectiveness.

Stay current with best practices in OD, engineering industry trends, and regulatory requirements.

Prepare reports and presentations for senior management on OD initiatives and outcomes.
