Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper with strong Sage and cashbook experience to join a well-established business in Plumstead. You will be responsible for a broad range of accounting functions and play a key role in supporting the finance operations and compliance teams.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Full cashbook function: capturing and processing to audit standard
• Creditors processing, supplier reconciliations, and VAT submissions
• Process overflow of invoices and credit notes using Sage
• Handle ad hoc stock adjustments and large purchase order oversight
• Engage with high-level clients and maintain strong relationships
• Support general accounting tasks and cover for debtors/rebates during staff leave
• Participate in occasional procurement and compliance tasks
• Liaise with SARS and assist with statutory returns (if experienced)
• Collaborate with one of the company Directors and support the wider accounting team
• Opportunity to join the Quality Management (QM) team and contribute to compliance and process reviews, depending on experience

What You’ll Bring:

• Relevant accounting qualification or strong experience in cashbook and Sage
• Sage proficiency and intermediate to advanced Excel skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
