My client in the Engineering Suppliers industry is looking for an experienced Creditors Clerk to join their team in Killarney Gardens.

Responsibilities

• Ensure invoices are matched against purchase orders and goods received notes
• Process supplier payments in line with agreed payment terms
• Capture and reconcile supplier accounts in the Accounting system
• Perform monthly reconciliation of supplier statements to ensure accuracy
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies between supplier statements and company records

• Prepare monthly accounts payable reports for management
• Assist with financial audits by providing supporting documentation and explanations

• Respond to supplier inquiries regarding payments and outstanding balances
• Ensure compliance with company policy and procedures in dealing with suppliers
• Ensure compliance with company policy and financial regulations
• Maintain accurate and up to date supplier records and payment files
• Assist in VAT reconciliations and other statutory requirements related to accounts payable
• Support month end and year end closing processes
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives within the finance department
• Ensure effective management of petty cash.

Minimum Requirements

• Matric/Grade 12 (NQF 4) is essential
• Bachelors degree/B Tech in Accounting, Finance or related field is essential
• 2-3 years experience in a similar role
• Proficient in accounting software
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• High attention to detail and accuracy
