ENVIRONMENT

Our client is seeking a skilled Power Platform Developer to join their growing team. The ideal candidate will have solid hands-on experience developing solutions using Microsoft Power Platform tools and related low-code technologies, with a strong background in SharePoint development. This role offers an exciting opportunity to build business-critical applications, automate workflows, and contribute to innovative digital transformation initiatives.

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design, develop, and maintain applications and workflows using Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Power Virtual Agents).
  • Build and optimize solutions leveraging Dataverse (Common Data Service) and Microsoft Teams integrations.
  • Develop and maintain SharePoint solutions (2010/2013/2016/2019 and SharePoint Online).
  • Implement and support Dataflows, Data Gateways, and integration points with other enterprise systems.
  • Apply solid software design principles and best practices to ensure scalable, maintainable, and secure solutions.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, and other developers in an Agile/SCRUM environment.
  • Participate in requirement analysis, solution design, testing, and documentation.
  • Stay current with new technologies and development methodologies, continually enhancing skills and knowledge.
  • Ensure solutions adhere to compliance and governance frameworks, including POPIA, GDPR, ISO Document Management, and other regulatory standards.

REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum Qualifications & Certifications:

  • Microsoft Certifications: PL-100 (Power Platform App Maker), PL-200 (Power Platform Functional Consultant), PL-400 (Power Platform Developer), or PL-600 (Power Platform Solution Architect).

Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Power Platform or equivalent low-code development platforms.
  • 3–5 years of hands-on experience with SharePoint (2010/2013/2016/2019 and SharePoint Online).
  • Experience developing multiple production-level apps and automated flows.
  • Strong knowledge of Dataverse (CDS), Microsoft Teams integrations, Dataflows, and Data Gateways.
  • Experience implementing compliance components related to POPIA, GDPR, and ISO standards.
  • Proven experience working within Agile and SCRUM methodologies.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong understanding of software design principles, architectural patterns, and development best practices.
  • Solid knowledge of data management, governance, and security within Power Platform and SharePoint.
  • Familiarity with integration between Power Platform and other enterprise systems.
