Junior JavaScript/TypeScript Developer

ENVIRONMENT:

JOIN the team of a provider of cutting-edge Custom Workflow Apps as its next Junior JavaScript/TypeScript Developer where you will work on a variety of projects and solve complex challenges. The business works closely with clients to ensure that they are involved and informed throughout the entire project & the goal is to deliver a minimum viable product (MVP) as soon as possible and continually test and improve the solution throughout the project life cycle. The ideal candidate must possess a Degree in Computer Science or Engineering with 1-2 years’ work experience with JavaScript & TypeScript. Any experience with Node.js in addition, will prove beneficial. Applicants must be willing to commute daily to Stellenbosch.

 

DUTIES:

• Design, develop, and maintain software applications using the latest technologies.
• Contribute to the implementation of scalable, high-quality systems.
• As a team, you will help design the whole application, starting with the process design, then the data schema and finally the view flow. All of the applications are built on the JourneyApps platform.

REQUIREMENTS:

Qualifications -

• Degree in Computer Science or relevant Engineering Degree is essential.

Experience/Skills -

• 1-2 Years’ experience with JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Fluent in English and Afrikaans.
• Willing to go into the office in Stellenbosch daily. 

Advantageous –

• Experience with Node.js.
