Job Description

If you are a meticulous and experienced Bookkeeper looking to take on a key role in a fast-scaling UK company who has recently opened offices in SA then we’d love to hear from you!

This role is ideal for a highly organized professional with at least 5 years of comprehensive bookkeeping experience, strong attention to detail, and expertise in software such as Xero. As part of a fast-paced scale-up, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the company’s financial operations.

Please note this is an onsite role based in the CBD.

 

What you will be doing:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting principles.
  • Assist in preparing reports for senior management and external stakeholders.
  • Process and reconcile bank transactions, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
  • Support the Finance Manager with month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, including invoicing, expense tracking, and payments.
  • Ensure all financial transactions are properly documented and categorized.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts, including balance sheets, P&L statements, and cash flow reports.
  • Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Payroll processing and VAT Compliance
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes by maintaining financial data accuracy.

What you bring:

  • A relevant finance qualification
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in bookkeeping, preferably in a fast-growing company or scale-up environment.
  • Proficiency in Xero is essential
