Fund Accountant

Job Description

Fantastic opportunity for a young accountant to join an investment company’s fund accounting team. This client has an excellent track record in both the SA and international market. Great team and business with a good team culture. 

 

Responsibilities:

• Drive daily fund pricing operations and yield calculations
• Manage bank reconciliations and ensure accurate recording of client deposits
• Oversee portfolio updates including dividends, new deals, and settlements
• Execute critical close-of-day processes
• Conduct comprehensive reconciliations and prepare various financial reports
• Participate in strategic team projects

Requirements: 

• Minimum of a BCom in Accounting or similar
• Minimum 2 years’ accounting experience within financial services
• Strong numerical and analytical capabilities
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Proven ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
• Outstanding organizational and time management skills
• Professional communication skills, both written and verbal
• High level of integrity and confidentiality
