Responsibilities:

    • Strategic Marketing Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy to enhance brand equity, increase market share, and drive revenue growth in the FMCG sector.
    • Brand Management: Oversee brand positioning, ensuring consistent messaging and differentiation across all consumer touchpoints in local and regional markets.
    • Market Research and Insights: Lead consumer research initiatives to identify market trends, customer preferences, and competitive opportunities, translating insights into actionable strategies.
    • Campaign Development and Execution: Design and manage high-impact marketing campaigns across digital, traditional, and emerging channels, ensuring measurable ROI and alignment with business goals.
    • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a diverse marketing team, fostering a culture of creativity, accountability, and excellence while promoting professional development.
    • Budget and Financial Oversight: Prepare and manage marketing budgets, optimizing resource allocation and implementing cost-control measures while prioritizing quality and impact.
    • Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with C-suite executives, sales, product development, and external stakeholders to align marketing strategies with corporate objectives and market demands.
    • Digital and Innovation Focus: Drive digital transformation initiatives, leveraging data analytics, automation, and emerging technologies to enhance marketing effectiveness.
    • Compliance and Standards: Ensure all marketing activities adhere to Zambian regulations, industry standards, and company policies, maintaining ethical and compliant practices.
    • Performance Metrics: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate campaign success, brand health, and market penetration, reporting outcomes to senior leadership.
    • Strategic Partnerships: Build and manage relationships with agencies, media partners, and suppliers to amplify marketing reach and ensure timely delivery of services.
    • Continuous Improvement: Champion innovation by integrating new marketing trends, tools, and methodologies to maintain a competitive edge in the FMCG industry.

 

 

Requirements: Qualification and Skill

    • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field. A Master’s degree or MBA is highly advantageous.
    • Experience: 10–15 years of progressive experience in marketing, with at least 5 years in senior leadership roles (e.g., CMO, Marketing Director) within the FMCG or consumer goods industry.
    • Industry Knowledge: Proven expertise in developing and executing marketing strategies in the FMCG sector, with a strong understanding of consumer behavior and market dynamics.
    • Technical Skills: Proficiency in marketing analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Tableau), CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce), and project management software (e.g., Asana, Monday.com).
