- Oversee end-to-end warehousing operations, including receipt of bulk bags, storage, de-bagging, and dispatch.
- Manage inventory control, warehouse layout, and space utilization across multiple facilities.
- Supervise the de-bagging process and ensure product is loaded into bulk tankers/trucks accurately, safely, and efficiently.
- Coordinate closely with shipping agents, transport providers, and internal logistics teams to manage schedules and turnaround times.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, health, and environmental regulations within the port and warehouse operations.
- Monitor KPIs and implement continuous improvement initiatives to increase productivity, reduce waste, and control costs.
- Manage warehouse teams including supervisors, operators, and labour, ensuring strong leadership, training, and performance management.
- Liaise with Transnet and port authorities to maintain good operational standing and resolve logistical challenges.
- Support the Head of Operations in strategic planning, budgeting, and operational forecasting
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of operations/warehouse/logistics management experience, preferably in bulk materials, or industrial sectors.
- Strong understanding of port logistics, warehousing best practices, and material handling processes.
- Proven experience managing teams and third-party service providers.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Solid knowledge of health and safety standards and compliance regulations (preferably within Transnet/port environments).
- Proficiency in inventory management systems and MS Office Suite.
