Job Description
My client, an Accounting firm based in the Northern Suburbs, is looking for a Senior Bookkeeper to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the bookkeeping of a portfolio of clients. This includes capturing the accounting records, maintaining payroll, submitting VAT and employee tax returns and attending to correspondence with SARS.
Responsibilities:
- Full Accounting to balance sheet
- Complex reconciliation’s
- Bi-annual EMP501 recons
- Submit the WCA / FEM / RMA declarations
- Make sure that all VAT returns for a particular month have been submitted
- Credit control
- Stay abreast of all legislation affecting daily duties
Requirements:
- Degree in Finance
- SAICA or SAIPA articles
- 3 years’ experience in bookkeeping
- Pastel, Xero, Pastel Payroll, CaseWare
