Cold Store Admin Supervisor

Our client is urgently looking for a Cold Store Admin Supervisor to join their team.  Only candidates with experience in a high-volume Cold Store operations within the food industry need to apply.

 

Qualifications:

• NQF Level 5 certificate in Supply Chain or General Office Administration or
• NQF Level 6 certificate in Supply Chain or General Office Administration with knowledge of bonded procedures and processes
• 3 – 5 years’ experience in an Administration role or similar in a high-volume cold store operation within the food industry
• 5 – 7 years’ experience in a supervisory administration role in a high-volume cold store operation within the food industry
• Bonded cold store experience will be an advantage
• Shipping line experience will be an advantage

Duties:

• Working closely with the state vet
• Required to work in a low temperature (zub-zero) environment
• Working long hours and weekends
• Clear criminal record
• Knowledge and understanding of stock receiving, dispatching and inventory control procedures
• Understand Customs procedures
• Warehouse Management System (WMS)
• MS Office
• Handling of samples
• Attending to state officials
• Experience with food safety audits
• Supervise the administration processes of the cold store
• Control the Warehouse Management System
• Deliver support between internal and external parties
• Ensure imported stock procedures is followed correctly
• Maintain the bond register in accordance with the stock take procedures
• Responsible for handling samples and liaising with state officials (state vets)
