General Foreman BUILDING

 

A well-established construction company is seeking a General Foreman to oversee residential and commercial building projects in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town. The successful candidate will report to the Site Agent and Contracts Manager and will be responsible for managing subcontractors and labor on-site.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and coordinate daily site operations to ensure projects are completed on time and to specification.
• Supervise subcontractors and site labor, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
• Liaise with the Site Agent and Contracts Manager to report progress and address any site challenges.
• Ensure materials and equipment are available and used efficiently.
• Conduct site inspections to maintain quality control and adherence to project plans.
• Enforce health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a General Foreman in residential and commercial construction.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations in construction.
• Valid driver’s license and own transport (preferred).
