A leading financial institution is looking for a young, energetic and technically driven individual to join their team on a permanent basis.  The successful candidate will be responsible for the administration, monitoring, maintenance and optimisation of mainframe storage environments, ensuring high availability, performance, capacity and reliability of critical systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and support IBM mainframe storage environments
• Perform storage allocation, configuration, maintenance and capacity management
• Monitor storage performance, availability and utilisation
• Assist with storage-related problem solving, troubleshooting and incident resolution
• Support backup, recovery and disaster-recovery processes
• Work with z/OS and related mainframe infrastructure
• Perform storage migrations, upgrades and maintenance activities
• Monitor and maintain storage standards, policies and procedures
• Identify opportunities to improve storage performance, efficiency and reliability
• Work closely with mainframe, infrastructure, application and support teams
• Ensure adherence to the organisation’s security, risk and operational standards

Minimum Requirements

• Relevant IT qualification and technical experience
• Experience working within a mainframe environment
• Exposure to z/OS and mainframe storage technologies
• Understanding of storage allocation, capacity and performance management
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Experience with IBM storage technologies
• Exposure to storage management tools and utilities
• Experience with enterprise banking environments
