Responsibilities: (not limited to)

  • The Cafe Manager is a full-time, on-site role, responsible for overseeing daily café operations and ensuring an excellent guest experience.
  • Supervising staff, managing shift schedules, and coordinating opening and closing procedures.
  • Monitors product quality, stock levels, and supplier orders, while maintaining hygiene and safety standards in line with company policies.
  • Handling of customer concerns, managing cash and point-of-sale systems, and supporting sales initiatives and promotions.
  • Collaborates with ownership to review performance, implement process improvements, and foster a positive, inclusive team culture.

Qualifications and knowledge required:

  • Strong Customer Service and Communication skills to interact professionally with guests and team members.
  • Experience with Food & Beverage and Food Service operations, including hygiene, safety, and quality standards.
  • Diploma or degree in Business Management.
  • Sales skills to support upselling, daily targets, and café promotions.
  • Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial role within a café, restaurant, or hospitality setting.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a diverse team, manage conflict, and coach staff on performance.
  • Solid organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail and reliability in a fast-paced environment.
  • Competence with point-of-sale systems, cash handling, and basic numerical skills for reporting.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
  • Own transport essential.
