Embedded C Developer (CPT In-office) - Datafin IT Recruitment

ENVIRONMENT:

The coding expertise of an Embedded C Developer with Linux programing experience is wanted by a leading Automotive Tech company for application development at its Cape Town. This position has a lot of potential for

growth. The ideal candidate must have good Engineering common sense, someone who takes initiative and is accountable for their function within the company. The role is for someone who wants to grow, take the lead on projects and has solid support and soft skills. You will be working and interfacing with a wide range of people within the organization across the South African, US and India offices. Applicants must possess a suitable Software or Engineering tertiary qualification with 5+ years relevant work experience including proficiency with C and Microcontroller Programming.

DUTIES:

• Creatively solve design problems (creating feature requests and design documentation and implementation).
• Debugging code-related issues.
• Updating and optimizing existing code bases.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Software or Engineering Qualification.
• Experience: 5+years.
• C experience.
• Microcontroller Programming.
• Able to manage multiple projects / multitasking / time management.
• Able to manage themselves to some degree / takes initiative - problem solving.

Nice to haves: -

• Linux experience
• Git/ GitHub experience.
• Interpreting datasheets.
• Electronic hardware experience.
