Assistant to the Operations Manager (JB6276)

R12 000 to R18 000 a month CTC

An established furniture manufacturing company requires a dependable and proactive Assistant to the Operations Manager to coordinate the administration, maintenance and daily readiness of the company’s truck fleet. The successful candidate will monitor vehicle licences, services, tyres, fines, cleanliness and loading activities while liaising with drivers and providing management with accurate reports and proactive operational updates.

Minimum Requirements:

Matric or an equivalent qualification

A valid driver’s licence would be advantageous

Previous experience in fleet administration, transport coordination, logistics or operations

Experience working with trucks, commercial vehicles or delivery fleets would be advantageous

Basic understanding of vehicle maintenance, servicing and tyre requirements

Knowledge of vehicle licensing, traffic fines and fleet documentation

Experience dealing with truck drivers and coordinating vehicle activities

Strong organisational, planning and coordination skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and relevant operational or fleet-management systems

Ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities

Strong administrative and record-keeping abilities

Proactive communication and follow-up skills

Ability to prepare accurate fleet and operational reports

Ability to work under pressure and meet operational deadlines
