An established furniture manufacturing company requires a hands-on Despatch and Warehouse Manager to oversee warehouse operations, stock movement, order preparation and the accurate dispatch of finished products. The successful candidate will lead the department, manage employees firmly and effectively, maintain discipline, drive productivity and provide management with accurate operational reports and proactive updates.

Minimum Requirements:

Matric or an equivalent qualification

Relevant qualification in Warehouse Management, Logistics or Supply Chain Management would be advantageous

Previous warehouse, despatch and logistics experience

Proven experience supervising or managing warehouse and despatch employees

Experience within a manufacturing or production environment

Furniture manufacturing experience would be highly advantageous

Strong leadership and employee-management skills

Able to enforce productivity standards, targets and workplace discipline

Strong organisational, planning and problem-solving abilities

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and relevant warehouse or stock-management systems

Able to compile and submit accurate operational reports

Proactive communication and follow-up skills

Able to work under pressure and take full accountability for the department
