We are recruiting a Head of Conservation for a conservation-focused organisation with over 25 years of commitment to biodiversity preservation and environmental research in the southern Kalahari. This is South Africa's largest privately protected area, and the person stepping into this role will shape its ecological future.

You will lead long-term conservation strategy, oversee biodiversity management and habitat restoration, manage research programmes, and represent the organisation with government bodies, academic institutions, NGOs, and international conservation partners. This role sits at the intersection of science, leadership, and fieldwork. It is not a desk job.

Postgraduate qualification in Conservation Biology, Ecology, Environmental Science, or a related field

10 to 15 years of senior conservation or environmental management experience

Proven ability in strategic planning, governance, and leading specialist teams

Strong grasp of conservation legislation and international best-practice standards
