Our client in the automotive industry based in Kariega is seeking a Product Readiness Engineer to to support new vehicle model introductions by developing and maintaining accurate technical publications, owner information, and service literature

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain localized service information, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and South African market suitability.
  • Validate technical information with key stakeholders and ensure accurate, timely publication within launch targets.
  • Assess engineering changes and new model launches, ensuring service information is updated and delivered on time.
  • Monitor and improve technical content quality through dealer feedback, issue resolution, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Resolve dealer technical issues and service information gaps, ensuring timely implementation of corrective actions
  • Develop and validate market-specific service literature and in-vehicle information to ensure accuracy, quality, and launch readiness.
  • Support cost reduction and customer satisfaction through accurate service information and effective repair solutions.
  • Coordinate special tool and equipment requirements to ensure dealer readiness for engineering changes and new product launches.
Minimum Requirements:
  • National Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, or an equivalent automotive-related engineering qualification.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ post-graduate experience in automotive engineering, vehicle diagnostics, technical analysis, and problem solving.
  • Proven experience in automotive product support and new model introductions, including investigation, diagnosis, and resolution of vehicle-related technical issues.
