Maintenance / Breakdown Technician (The Netherlands) - Datafin IT Recruitment
ENVIRONMENT:
JOIN a global Investment Group in the Netherlands seeks a technically strong Maintenance / Breakdown Technician with an interest to relocate to the Netherlands where you will work for industrial companies. You will be responsible for diagnosing faults, maintaining and repairing industrial machinery and production equipment. This is a hands-on role, so they require candidates with practical technical experience rather than mainly supervisory, design or administrative backgrounds. Applicants will need a suitable technical qualification or trade such as Millwright, Electrical, Mechatronics, Electromechanical or Industrial Automation with electrical, mechanical fault finding and industrial machinery or production equipment experience. Please note that this opportunity involves relocation to the Netherlands and requires candidates who are genuinely willing to relocate and work in an industrial environment.
DUTIES:
- Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults on industrial machinery.
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance.
- Troubleshoot machinery breakdowns and identify the root cause of faults.
- Work with electric motors, drives, sensors, relays and contactors.
- Troubleshoot and work with pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
- Perform PLC fault finding and diagnostics.
- Read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings.
- Maintain and repair production equipment to minimise downtime.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Relevant technical qualification or trade, such as: Millwright, Electrical, Mechatronics, Electromechanical or Industrial Automation.
- Experience with electrical and mechanical fault finding.
- Experience working with industrial machinery or production equipment.
- Valid Driver's Licence.
- Willingness to relocate to the Netherlands.
- Willingness to learn Dutch.
- Comfortable working shifts.
- Able to work independently and solve technical problems.

- Siemens or Allen-Bradley PLCs.
- Industrial automation.
- Electrical and mechanical drawings.
